Our minister, V. Elaine Strawn, has been at the UUFWC since 1996. In her previous lives she has
served as a United Methodist minister (and the daughter of one), a mediator with a fair housing agency,
staff development person for a Planned Parenthood affiliate, and on the staff at the UU
Church of Akron.
A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, Rev. Strawn has a strong commitment to social action, to spiritual development and to walking! Presently she is involved with the Wayne County Interfaith Partnership, the district Commissioned Lay Leadership Committee, and is working toward her Doctor of Ministry from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, Illinois.
