Our minister, V. Elaine Strawn, has been at the UUFWC since 1996. In her previous lives she has
served as a United Methodist minister (and the daughter of one), a mediator with a fair housing agency,
staff development person for a Planned Parenthood affiliate, and on the staff at the UU
Church of Akron.
A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, Rev. Strawn has a strong commitment to social action, to spiritual development and to walking! Presently she is involved with the Wayne County Interfaith Partnership, the district Commissioned Lay Leadership Committee. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, Illinois.
